An independent review by researchers at Melbourne University recently found that when it came to the delivery of our program for a national technology team in the finance sector participants reported:

Then the following week participate in a coaching session to reflect on how they’re applying the ideas in their work and their life. This is why we initially stagger a fortnightly release of the online content.

Some participants, however, will find that when it comes to steps like exploring their life vision that they really need some time to imagine what their future could look like. If people want to linger on any of the steps we’d encourage that they trust their own process, rather than racing to keep up. If you know your female leaders will really need time to process the learning and apply it, then we’d suggest slowing it down so that each chapter and module is worked through over the space of one month.

What is a group coaching circle and why might this help my female leaders?

Let’s face it, despite people’s best intentions, making these changes in the way we work and live and sticking with them can be hard. Life is busy. Our energy is limited. And few of us really understand how to work with our brains to make changes that last.

The truth is, making these changes a reality requires committed and dedicated effort. Just like eating one piece of broccoli isn’t suddenly going to make them healthy, or going for a run won’t make them fit, leading and living differently will require consistent weekly—and in some cases even daily and hourly—efforts for Lead Like A Woman participants to really see who they are, and get what they truly want. Researchers have found that maintaining motivation is much easier with the support of others. For example, studies have found that people who make New Year’s resolutions are much more likely to persevere for at least two years if they have social support.
